Playful Doses Drama CIC

Therapeutic drama sessions promoting wellbeing in the early years

“Imagination is the source of every form of human achievement.”

Ken Robinson

Our bespoke sessions are accessible, inclusive, empowering, play-based, and rooted in psychological research

  • Playful Doses Drama offers tailor made, therapeutic interactive storytelling and drama sessions with a focus on self-expression and opportunities to flourish creatively.
  • The DOSES in Playful Doses Drama stands for 4 feel good hormones we aim to increase through our work: Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphins.
  • We believe in the importance of the overall development of children: academic, physical, emotional and social. Wellbeing and emotional literacy are the building blocks on which all this learning can take place.

“Children don’t say ‘I had a hard day. Can we talk?’ They say ‘Will you play with me?’ “

Lawrence Cohen

  • By holding these significant areas of development lightly, through silliness and a very playful approach, we can increase achievement and a strong sense of confidence in healthy, creative children.
  • Our sessions provide a safe therapeutic space for children to process their thoughts, feelings and experiences that they may struggle to express verbally through an approach of playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy.
